It worked. That's a bit more gain than the math predicted even with well over 10,000 extra kcal this week, but I'm not bothered. 33 steps forward and 2 steps back is perfectly acceptable, but it only stays that way if I get moving again. I cut way back on sugar and junk food, and increased how much protein I eat. I didn't count calories, and I didn't stress myself with workouts, I just went for a walk every day except the days I had hormone headaches. This week taught me that I know how to take care of myself, I just need to do it. This upcoming week will have some strength and flexibility workouts included just so my clothes fit a little better and I'm not losing too much muscle, but again, not gonna let it become something to stress over, which is the real challenge. Where last week it was aberrantly low, today it's right in the median and mean. Yesterday was a big milestone. I saw my first 199.x weight. The X was a 7 but it feels like an accomplishment to see a weight that doesn't begin with a 2. I'm fairly certain that when we get to the end of the next challenge will be the end of my weight loss for a while. I'll still do a maintenance phase at the end and I plan to keep one hand on the tiller long term. I'm not sure what my actual body far percent is and I've decided I don't want to pay $150 to get an accurate measurement but by my rough gauge, I'd say upper teens. It feels like a healthy percent and I'm content with how it looks. Spoiler 2 3 Quote You can't spell Slaughter without laughter Link to comment

I was actually down to 172.0 earlier in the week, but I had a weekend of visiting friends so wasn't really watching what I ate nearly as much. I am pretty happy with how things are going, but I'm also very much keeping an eye on it to make sure I'm not under eating, especially with the competitive season for derby starting up soon. 3 Quote Wood Elf Waywatcher Mandalorian (Assassin/Ranger hybrid) Link to comment

Later in the week I was still injured and was feeling moody about it, so whilst I didn't completely go off the rails I wasn't as disciplined as I have been. I also cooked an epic Persian-style lamb chops recipe, which was lovely but about a million calories by my calculations My calorie burn was also the lowest of the year so far, thanks to not being able to go for my long runs at the weekend. With all that said, I'm pretty to see my weight going down at all, even if it's only by 0.2lbs. 4 Quote Level 21 Wood Elf Ranger STR: 18 - CON: 22 - CHA: 11 - SAN: 19 - INT: 17 IAgreeWithTank™ "Shit is going down, but I am not." - iatetheyeti Don't say "I don't have enough time", say instead "that's not a priority right now" and see how that makes you feel. My weight has elevated a touch through the end of this week going into the weekend but I think much of it is to do with soreness. My legs have been sore every single day since Thursday and I know the scale will show an increase if I'm sore enough to feel it. That's okay, I upped my workout intensity and that changes things. I did my measurements on Feb 1 and I've lost 3.25 inches total from waist, hips, and the biggest part of my belly (I call it the belly pooch but it's just below my belly button and just above my belt line. I have a little tire in that region all the way around me where the majority of my belly fat sits). Even if the scale isn't moving (or it seems to be going up, like it has over this past week) I know I'm moving in the right direction. Much of the same ol' stuff here this coming week as far as workouts and food. Carb cycling is maintained as it has been. I am adjusting my workout schedule to have Monday and Tuesday be on the Peloton (due to early work calls Monday when I would otherwise run), Wednesday run, Thursday strength, Friday run, and Saturday and/or Sunday be a gentle recovery movement. We took the dogs to this walking trail that goes along the river and walked 3 miles yesterday to help get them socialized and find a place for us to go if we need a change of scenery. When I start upping my mileage, I may need to have a recovery movement day during the week and do my longer runs on the weekend. The trail is 6 miles long so plenty long enough for me to do an out and back on relatively flat terrain (give my legs a rest from these hills) and not be pacing back and forth along a 1 mile route by my house (I will lose interest and give up). 5 Quote You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better than you were before. TimovieMan
I haven't been feeling it these past few weeks. Intermittent fasting has been hit-and-miss, and there's been heavier eating days pretty much every week. I even consistently forget to weigh in, so I have no idea where I'm at for the moment. Will need to find some motivation going forward... so maybe some accountability will help. Weigh-in happening on Friday. No excuses! If I don't show up, kick me until I do. 4 1 Quote TimovieMan: funnier than you think he is; not as funny as he thinks he is...
