I think I have figured out better foot placement to make Bulgarian Split Squats more tolerable. They still will not be staying in the rotation after this program cycle, but we have come to an uneasy truce for the time being.

Ugh, okay, that does it - Bulgarian Split Squats are out! Next week I start a new block with lunges, rows, push ups, and deadlifts. Part of me feels like I should have pushed through and completed the original block as scheduled, but I am cultivating the joy of the iron at the moment, so...

I think this is an excellent idea. You've got to love it first. Then tricky bits can come later, after the love gives birth to consistency.

I was hoping I might join you? I am renewing my acquaintance with the iron and consider myself a raw beginner once more. Surely I can sweep the floors and tend the torches while I soak up your knowledge?

A goal I am setting for this challenge. I want to be able to bench press 75 pounds by the end of week 5 for my main set. That is 3 sets of 5 reps. My current weight is 60 for the same number of sets and reps.

Ugh. Sick for over three weeks no, no lifting, no gym, very frustrated. I rebelliously added a pushup to my evening yoga, though.
