Daily Dares [3/30/2016 - 4/29/2016]

Bouncing done in several sets.

Push ups skipped (my body just said nope after the first one ;) )

Calf raises done in several sets.

 

My goal was gold but I know I won't get there. BUT:

Don't worry, I doubt you'd have come across as being a jerk about it. Me trying to make myself feel better about not being able to do the prescribed dare kinda needs to stay my problem, rather than asking for exceptions to be made. Like Briniel said, it's the challenge that makes it so appealing :)

I'm pretty sure the challenge goes until 4/30. At least that's what it says in this announcement.

Calf raises done with EC. My arse started to tingle half way through this; it that supposed to happen?

 

That will probably be my last one on this challenge (unless I unexpectedly have free time) as I'm going away tomorrow to go hiking for a couple of days. If I don't catch up with you guys again until after it's over then well done to everyone, and good luck with your final dares!

Side lunges done with EC.  Great job everyone!

Current Big Fat Hairy Goals:  Hip to Waist Ratio down to 88%.  Capable of 50 pushups, 100 situps, 20 pull-ups in one massive superset.  Able to do a bodyweight bench press.  Run 10K 1/week for 1 month.  Earn 2nd Degree Black Belt.

 

Why?  Because I want to model the kind of health and strength that I want my girls to have when they grow up.

Wait, today is the last day?  The challenge title says we're going until the 29th? Isn't today the 30th?

Ohhhh. There's been a lot of confusion about the end date of the challenge, and now I understand why! I think the official NF challenge period goes until 4/30. I'm not sure why I put 4/29 in the title instead back when I created this...

 

So, we have two options - 

 

1. Call 4/29 the end of this PVP (I'll post a new one on Monday for anyone who wants to ignore Week 0 of next challenge) - that was the side-to-side lunges

2. Override my flub with the dates and call 4/30 the last day (walking pushups).

I'll admit I didn't actually register that the title said the 29th, I just made the assumption that it was going on as long as the official challenge period was on for. Happy to go with whichever option people prefer, though I think maybe since the the date is in the title (and evidently everyone else registered this!) that it could be better to say that was the end date.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I was totally planning to go through Sunday (because why is the challenge ending on a Saturday? Weird.) but I don't want to punish anyone who actually paid attention to the date. I'll wait to see what everyone else says before we make a decision. I'm sure some of us will be happy for a reason to skip walk-out pushups. :P

Heh, it is a bit of an odd finishing day. I'd hazard a guess at keeping it in line with the end of the month, but after puzzling out the rest of the challenge dates (US date format hurts my brain and confuses my numerical issues...), it doesn't seem like they're all that bothered with that further down the line. I scrubbed the point I put on the spreadsheet in the interests of fairness (if folks decide to include today, I'll go put it back again!), and to be honest I'm probably going to continue with them in the pause between challenges. It gets addictive!

I'm happy to go with it ending on the 29th as per the title, and will scrub off my points for the walking push ups now.

 

This was really enjoyable - I found myself constantly checking Darebee to see if the new Daily had come up, and then working out a time to squeeze it in. 

 

Also, great work by everyone who participated. I love the positive community here, wish I'd found NF ages ago.

Already looking forward to next month's PvP!

I'm happy to keep going - i was going to do today's anyway, and this way I'll get another point or two!

So far, it sounds like more people are leaning towards ending on the 29th, so let's just make that official. Let's stop the PVP with those side-to-side lunges and stick with the dates in the title. I hope everyone keeps going over the weekend anyway!
