Screwed up my calories by almost 2 thousand this last week. Will try harder not to binge junk food going forward. back to the return of the scales, as i think i need to be more exact about what I'm eating. Hoping that helps over the next few weeks edit: just realised ive actually managed to put some weight on since we started this round. Funnily enough I got lots of compliments at church after weighing in from people asking if I'd lost even more weight. Must've been the black t-shirt and fresh haircut. I'm on the recovery side of things but it's take a bit longer than normal to bounce back. This is okay. I'm following the rules and that will show improvement in time. I'm not terribly worried about a slight uptick, either. I've been increasing my protein and pushing hard in the gym so I know muscle gains may offset any fat loss when it comes to the scale. This week we have our last set of lunch and dinner meal prep. The Man leaves Friday and returns Saturday with the kiddos for the summer. We do family dinners so the most I can do for dinners, meal prep-wise is maybe batch cook protein I can turn into various different meals. I'll simply need to be more mindful of what is planned for dinner and be careful of my portions/what I put on my plate to keep macros in check. 4 Quote You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better than you were before. Though I suspect it was more due to lack of food than eating well. I got reassigned to a new job in my current company. Yay, I won't be unemployed! But it comes with having to move across the country. So, my stress levels continue to be through the roof and I have even more nonsense on my plate to deal with now. And my appetite has been swinging between "I do not want food, at all" and "eat all the junk food." Currently debating if I want to continue through the end of the challenge, or just accept that right now is not a good time to be trying to lose weight even though I really need to (for both health and upcoming big event reasons) and take a break starting now. I can pick this up again when I'm settled in the new place, but that is definitely going to be too late to look good for the summer, and probably the same for my event. Seeing 269 was *really* disheartening in a way that surprised me, even though I knew it couldn't be actual fat gain. I need to practice my neutrality a bit more it seems. Today I'm going to do a bunch of house and yard work while eating back on plan, so tomorrow morning I'll check it again and see if that does anything remarkable with the scale. At this point with just two weeks left all I want to do is hit 210, and I think I can do it. Still feeling incrementally leaner and stronger. This is the same number I put up at the end of January, but I definitely look much better and I'm wearing my smaller clothes more regularly now. My program seems to be working with the trend line even when the week-to-week numbers are see-sawing radically. Sorry for the late update, things have been a bit crazy(ier than normal). I have indeed decided to bow out of this challenge. Mostly decided for me by my scale deciding to behave somewhat erratically. I suspect it needs a new battery, and I don't want to replace it just before packing it up in a box to move across the country. At worst, it needs to be replaced entirely, and if that's the case, again, I don't want to bother just before moving. Week leading up to the 160.8lbs I was bang on target for calories, so no idea why I saw a 0.7lb increase. The following week was very boozy and I was well, well over, so I was surprised at how small the increase was (probably aided heavily by the prior week). Last week I'm fairly sure was over budget as well, but I gave up on counting calories mid-week. For this week I'm just going to try and be sensible and not go overboard, but calorie counting feels like a bit much right now. I'd love to go sub-160 for next week's weigh in, but that seems unlikely without tracking. Regardless, I'm looking forward to going into maintenance mode and having a bit of a mental break from this.
