yes, well, That was kind of expected ?‍♀️. Screwed up my calories by almost 2 thousand this last week. Will try harder not to binge junk food going forward. 
back to the return of the scales, as i think i need to be more exact about what I'm eating. Hoping that helps over the next few weeks 

 

edit: just realised ive actually managed to put some weight on since we started this round. So annoying.

05/12:  217.1  (+2.2)

 

And back up we swing.  The calorie math for this week predicted exactly that amount of increase.  Funnily enough I got lots of compliments at church after weighing in from people asking if I'd lost even more weight.  Must've been the black t-shirt and fresh haircut. ;)

 

I'm already well back down and on track for another low week again.  Maybe this will be the one that gets me off the see-saw.

Don't know if this helps, but it's not by much! 0.7% of your total body weight increase is tiny. Or, to put it another way, you would put on that much if you downed 2 pints of water.

Stuck almost exactly to my calorie goal last week (which required a very low calorie day on Sunday, unfortunately), so happy with the result.

 

Probably not likely that I'm going to lose 6.2lbs in the remaining 4 weeks of this challenge to hit my goal, but whatever, I've now lost over a stone (14lbs) since 1st January so really happy overall.

What last weekend looked like for me:

Mother's Day.

I got up early to get breakfast pastries (croissants and the likes), made eggs and bacon, and pancakes. So once again, intermittent fasting went out the window, and with Saturday's BBQ overeaty nonsense, I just piled on the calories even more...

We went to my parents' house in the afternoon. Which involved coffee and cake, and thus even more calories.

And in the evening TimovieDaughter wanted to cook for Mrs. Movieman. But she had never cooked before so I helped. Which means that her spaghetti sauce resembled my version closer than Mrs. Movieman's version. Which is a good thing (although the missus disagrees). ?

Of course, this meant that "skipping a meal because I've already eaten FAR too much this weekend" was out of the question.

A bit of a tick up after some hormonal issues that left me feeling quite bloated and heavy overall. I'm on the recovery side of things but it's take a bit longer than normal to bounce back. This is okay. I'm following the rules and that will show improvement in time. I'm not terribly worried about a slight uptick, either. I've been increasing my protein and pushing hard in the gym so I know muscle gains may offset any fat loss when it comes to the scale.

This week we have our last set of lunch and dinner meal prep. The Man leaves Friday and returns Saturday with the kiddos for the summer. We do family dinners so the most I can do for dinners, meal prep-wise is maybe batch cook protein I can turn into various different meals. I'll simply need to be more mindful of what is planned for dinner and be careful of my portions/what I put on my plate to keep macros in check.

I'm a little stuck these last couple of weeks.  This was the last week before my Hawaii trip and the last chance to get everything ready to put the house on the market as soon as I get back.   I am just out of spoons.  I skipped logging food for a few days because it was just too much.  I'm please to at least be maintaining.  I had hoped to be closer to 249 before Hawaii but it is what it is.  I'm going to enjoy my much needed vacation, come back and sell my house, and then I can relax and refocus.

Hey, my weight went down a bit this week!  Though I suspect it was more due to lack of food than eating well.  I got reassigned to a new job in my current company.  Yay, I won't be unemployed!  But it comes with having to move across the country.  So, my stress levels continue to be through the roof and I have even more nonsense on my plate to deal with now.  And my appetite has been swinging between "I do not want food, at all" and "eat all the junk food."

 

Currently debating if I want to continue through the end of the challenge, or just accept that right now is not a good time to be trying to lose weight even though I really need to (for both health and upcoming big event reasons) and take a break starting now.  I can pick this up again when I'm settled in the new place, but that is definitely going to be too late to look good for the summer, and probably the same for my event.  Though, I'm not losing any weight as it is, and I seem to be unable to lose weight, period, so it's not like I'm really going to miss out on anything by stopping tracking for a bit.

A small loss this week which I will absolutely take because at one point I was up to 269.x dealing with inflammation and meds and everything with this tooth infection. Seeing 269 was *really* disheartening in a way that surprised me, even though I knew it couldn't be actual fat gain. I need to practice my neutrality a bit more it seems. The numbers should just be data, not judgement.

05/26:  213.4 (+2.3)

 

Pretty sure that's inflated by the last several days being way off my routine.  Today I'm going to do a bunch of house and yard work while eating back on plan, so tomorrow morning I'll check it again and see if that does anything remarkable with the scale.  At this point with just two weeks left all I want to do is hit 210, and I think I can do it.

 

Still feeling incrementally leaner and stronger.  This is the same number I put up at the end of January, but I definitely look much better and I'm wearing my smaller clothes more regularly now.  My program seems to be working with the trend line even when the week-to-week numbers are see-sawing radically.  I'm not at all unhappy with my results so far.

212.1 this morning after a massive day's work, still up from last week but not nearly as much as it probably ought to have been.  My daughter and my mother-in-law have been bringing me chocolate and ice cream for days.

Sorry for the late update, things have been a bit crazy(ier than normal).  I have indeed decided to bow out of this challenge.  Mostly decided for me by my scale deciding to behave somewhat erratically.  I suspect it needs a new battery, and I don't want to replace it just before packing it up in a box to move across the country.  At worst, it needs to be replaced entirely, and if that's the case, again, I don't want to bother just before moving.  So, I'll see you all in August!

It's been a few weeks since I last updated - the numbers in bold are the ones I haven't posted here before.

 

Week leading up to the 160.8lbs I was bang on target for calories, so no idea why I saw a 0.7lb increase. The following week was very boozy and I was well, well over, so I was surprised at how small the increase was (probably aided heavily by the prior week). Last week I'm fairly sure was over budget as well, but I gave up on counting calories mid-week.

 

For this week I'm just going to try and be sensible and not go overboard, but calorie counting feels like a bit much right now. I'd love to go sub-160 for next week's weigh in, but that seems unlikely without tracking. Regardless, I'm looking forward to going into maintenance mode and having a bit of a mental break from this.

I've been wobbling up to the 264s off and on all week, but I'll take this shiny low number happening again as a sign that maybe we really are trending down once more. Would be nice!

Been away for a couple weeks but weight is staying steady. Last week my husband and I went on a kid-free cruise to celebrate our anniversary, and we got the unlimited drink package (and made good use of it!). So honestly this number isn't bad at all considering!

 

I think there's one week left in this challenge, and while I'm not going to hit my goal of -10 lbs I'll be happy if I can land on -5lbs. Let's see how the last week goes!
