The scale is going down, yay! Stress has gone way up, boo! Really hoping the stress level follows the scale, but suspect it's likely to go the other way. Depends very much on whether I get laid off this week or not, but either way having an answer will probably at least temporarily drop the stress level. Last week they announced a big "workforce reduction" at my place of employment, with most people affected being notified by the end of this week. The being in limbo state right now is not great. 3 4 Quote Wood Elf Waywatcher Mandalorian (Assassin/Ranger hybrid) Link to comment

Yesterday I had to move the buttons again, this time to tighten them back up, and I've taken them in about 2" from where they were. Add to that that I'm 2 belt notches tighter than I was at the start of the year, progress has definitely been made. Well done! I did manage a 15 hour fast before eating anything but once I started eating it was all so good that I was far from reasonable. At least dinner out that night got cancelled. Weight jump wasn't as bad as I had feared but it's been slow to recover since plus a migraine over the weekend. This coming week brings another dinner out and some extravagances over the weekend to manage. 5 Quote Race: Amazonian Ogre Princess | Class: Ranger | Profession: SuperHero | Affiliation: Doodlie and Pancake for Life Respawn Challenge Arcs: 2021 | 2022 I am not saying I am Wonder Woman. Darciana
148.7 Back down to a loss from the start of this, thankfully, even if it's less than a pound of loss. I hired a coach to help with nutrition and teaching me about balancing macros. I know I'm not getting enough protein and I've under-eaten for so long I need to fix my mindset around food. I'm doing okay on my own, but I think having a coach and that accountability will really move things along. She's also certified for women's health so she can help me fix any food-related hormonal imbalances (and I have plenty of those) and I'm excited to learn some new things and see some changes. Today marks Day 1 with her and I'm on the books for 4 months (with option to continue monthly). Workouts have been good, I'm still hitting PRs and feeling okay so I'm finding my stride. Now to continue that! 10k is this coming Sunday and then I only have a 5k trail run on June 1st to worry about for run-related activities for the time being. Unsure if we're still planning to make the Shiner Beer Run an annual thing or not. Prices increase the end of June and 5k sold out in August last year so we'll have to decide before then or have the decision made for us. Future me can deal with that, though. 6 Quote You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better than you were before. Do that every day and you will succeed. Link to comment

Unfortunately, due to some first rate fuckery from my manager, I am almost certainly at the top of the list of people to be reduced. I think the best I can hope for is getting offered a different position in the company, but I think chances of that are relatively small (though my manager asked me to send her my resume this morning, so slightly larger than I had thought initially). 4 Quote Wood Elf Waywatcher Mandalorian (Assassin/Ranger hybrid) Link to comment

I think it’s a little inflated because of some wheat I ate last week, but I honestly was expecting this because things had been so stressful with the Unexpected Houseguest and we were eating out/ordering in a lot and not focused on food that loves me back. Dave left yesterday for a two week work trip so I am on my own in the house and have some breathing room to get myself together. I can feel my body relaxing as I am alone in my space and it is desperately needed after the stress of the guest. I am not beating myself up over the gain, just giving grace. Snarkyfishguts
My friends, I have posted on my battle log that I am taking some time off from May-September to make art and relax. I have spreadsheets ready for the rest of the year, so before I run off into the woods with a box of crayons and bag of snacks, how would you like to deal with this? I can share the links to the whole group for the upcoming spreadsheets, or hand it over to one person with the copy for the first post of each challenge.
