Excited to go.

Recommended Posts

Hello. I've enjoyed logging on to the site for about a week and decided to take the plunge and join in. My suboptimal computer skills have made this a challenge in itself but I hope I've done a sufficient job to be able to be an active Rebel. I live in a rural area so it's great to find a group of online supporters for what I hope to do. In short, I'd like to bring back the enjoyment of being active especially outdoors. Currently I'm carrying about 30 extra pounds, I suffered a herniated disc in my back 4 years ago which has healed but could be managed better if I was more flexible and could drop the weight. I am extremely lucky to have the full support of my wife and 3 kids in this venture. Many times I've tried to do this on my own with some success but always bounced back to old habits; I'm very excited to join the rebellion to keep this from happening again. I'll put some thought into my goals for the next challenge which I think I'll join as an Adventurer. I look forward to being part of your community and can't wait to get started.

Welcome,

I'm new as well and recovering from back surgery like you. I have about 60lbs to go but we can do this. Need to work our core muscles so we can be lean and mean. I was reading an article that it only takes 6 weeks to make a new habit. So when we join the challenge that starts next week we have 6 weeks to get into the habit of eating healthy and not falling back into the rut!!!

See you there!
