TV is usually something I have on at night while I am working on other things post-workout. I-Jo Posted March 4, 2013 Report Share Posted March 4, 2013 I tried to watch Caprica- I was stoked when I saw it was coming out- it looked so cool. But it was too slow to build (as noted) and what really bothered me was the over developed sense of secrecy- they were trying to build drama by cutting back and forth and leaving everything kind of in a patch work- but they took WAY to long to kind of make sense of what was going on- so I abandoned ship. Once Apon A Time does the same thing- but they made sense of things by the end of the episode. Mhmmm Boomer annoyed me. Maybe I need to rewatch it- it's time for some TV fit motivation!! Spider-Dan Posted March 5, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 5, 2013 Anybody else watch BSG: Blood & Chrome yet? I picked it up on Blu-Ray tonight. I have to admit that 90% of the reason I got it is out of loyalty. I adore BSG so much, and I already have the entire series, so this keeps my collection complete. The show itself is only ok. Major cons to it are:1) Adama's casting. It is made worse by the fact that the guy they had in Razor for the flashbacks was dead on. This kid just isn't that interesting in comparison.2) Blood & Chrome actively contradicts the flashbacks in Razor. This is really irritating to me. Major positives are the rest of the cast is pretty solid, and the visuals are neat considering they are 98% CGI. Galactica herself is a little overdone. It is hard to wash how they present her in her prime with the old girl that was put out to pasture at the beginning of the miniseries. Katinka Posted March 5, 2013 Report Share Posted March 5, 2013 We tried to watch blood and chrome when they aired it as a tv special a few weeks back - my husband made it all the way through, I went to bed halfway with the intention of finishing it when it reaired again the next day, but ended up just skipping it. I didn't really like Razor, either though - so far The Plan is the only thing other than the series itself that I've actually enjoyed. Link to comment

It is supposed to be set during the first Cylon war and follows Bill Adama on his first mission. And was hooked. I just read the Origins comic omnibus with backstory on Zarek, Baltar, Adama and joint Starbuck & Helo tale. Not bad but not quite as satisfying as "Just one more ep before bed".I have a pic of Starbuck in the gym with a boxing work out going on as a motivator. I love your name, and I get the sentiment. Problem is that I think being screwed up is on of the prerequisites for being the badass Starbuck is. Of the ladies on the show, Katee Sackhoff is definitely the one I am most attracted too, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to fall in love with Kara Thrace. Love the vs pic! roninspirit Posted April 12, 2013 Report Share Posted April 12, 2013 My girlfriend and I just recently started watching it for the first time. We're in Season 2 right now. She likes it. Me, not so much. But in an effort to be positive, I'll talk about the things I do like about it. I like some of the characters, namely Starbuck, #6, Gaius, the Chief and President Roslin. I like all the references to Greek mythology. And I really enjoy the exchanges between Gaius and Number 6. Those scenes are actually what keep me watching. I feel like those bits of dialogue really delve into the ideology of the show, which is extremely interesting to me. It was also weird seeing Lew Ashby (from Californication) as a Cylon.
