Century Push

Right, I'm joining in.

I'm doing it with knee pushups, because I am still rehabilitating my shoulders and thoratic spine.

Initial Test puts me at a max of 6, so juuuust squeezing into Rank 2.

I'll be pushing monday-wed-friday (probably). Although this week I'll try and squeeze another in, since I'm starting a wee bit late.

Today, I did 6-6-4-3.5-4.5

I couldn't get up out of the last rep on sets 4 and 5, which is why the .5.

I've had some luck holding my hands together behind my back, with my arms straight, and trying to lift them up. It seems to stretch my arms, my shoulders, my back and my chest.

Push-up Time

You do some light warm-up

You won't let some mere pushups scares you!

You start pushing strongly!

Synchronizing your breath with your pushups

After a while that's not enough

And you crash loudly on the floor

What time it is

Oh how i'm dreading todays... 10, 12, 9, 9, 13+ and on top of that almost every muscle in my back is sore form tricking yesterday for 2 1/2 hrs... XD it was fun and worth it though I learned 3 new tricks =)

I did these after I got home from work.

20,25,20,20,28. 90 seconds rest, 180 before the last set.

This was a brutal, ugly struggle. If it is okay with you, I will go die now.

week 1 day 2: 10/12/8/8/13. So far I'm finding a theme after the second day (so the theme could change quickly). When I go for the max at the end, I get to the minimum and do one more before I start to lose complete control of form. I might try waiting longer before the max, but after 90 seconds I just want to get back on the ground and do some push ups.

3, 4, 2, 3, 4+??? Sounds like I have a fun day ahead.

Especially because my shoulder got twisted or something?! I don't even know what happened, but took me a while to get it sorted out again.

So good start of today.... I don't wanna think about the push ups.

If it's just soreness, try to run around with your arms ups, shaking your hands (screaming like crazy optional :P) you need to make your blood running. To my experience, you may keep your arms sore for a few weeks. It's not nice (in a graaahhkillmekillmekillmenaow way) while doing push-ups but it's totally do-able. Aslo, do you stretch after your sets? It's really really really important, it saved my arms many times.

Of course if it's something else than soreness. Rest more, I don't want my team adversary to get hurt :)

Tell me about it, Kibcy. My initial test got 11, and my first two sets are supposed to be 10, 12. I'm already not sure I'll make it that far, let alone 3 more sets. But the only thing we can do is give it our best!

And so we shall!!! :D good luck to you too!

I'm going to have to skip day 2. My arm is sore and I can't even do one pushup today. Think I pulled something but I don't know when as I've just had two rest days in a row. Sigh!

:( that's too bad. I second what Nuala said about this. And just take extra rest if you need it.

10, 12, 7, 7, 11.

I did it! The sets of 7 were the hardest for some reason. Although I did rest longer before the set of 11 because I knew I had struggled with 7, so getting more than 9 was going to be a challenge.

My wrists are a bit sore, now, but I'm pumped up for more working out! I think I'll go out for a walk.
