Though I will say this one didn't end on the type of cliff hanger we've been getting typically since Turn Coat. This had a nice, almost calm ending. He set up so many things in the last book... Not a bad book...but I way WAY over hyped about it. While not like Cold Days with its huge finale and conclusion I think this book sets up a bunch of stuff for the rest of the series. Mab and the Fae are prepping for war wit hthe Outsiders, Nick is being set up for a huge revenge plot, the swords finally have another Knight. Two of the coins of Denarius are locked up in the vault and we see the conclusion of the Lasciel cycle. All in all, this book was about subtle movements in the Dresden verse as we move closer and closer to the final trilogy. Mab and the Fae are prepping for war wit hthe Outsiders, Nick is being set up for a huge revenge plot, the swords finally have another Knight. Two of the coins of Denarius are locked up in the vault and we see the conclusion of the Lasciel cycle. All in all, this book was about subtle movements in the Dresden verse as we move closer and closer to the final trilogy. And an all around just good ol' bank robber story. There was more Harry-snark again and even some resolution with the Harry/Murphy romantic relationship. So some things were closed from other books, while more plots were introduced. This is all set up for the final 5-ish books and the endgame trilogy. And honestly - it was nice to have an end where Harry was literally kicking his feet up and knocking back a beer with a friend. I'm also thinking he's set up the finale of the series nicely, and am excited to see what happens next.Also, was way too happy about the Harry/Murphy stuff. The will they/won't they back and forth has been frustrating (in the best kind of way).
