jmurrayo56
Hey! My name's Jada. I'm a 21 year old female, who weighs around 350 (completely unsure, as I can't weigh myself on a scale). I'm about 6'2", so that puts me in the "ungodly tall" category. I've always been "overweight", so in high school I decided to try sports to lose weight. Then I discovered weightlifting. I absolutely loved it, but I was told if I wanted to really lose weight, I needed to hit the treadmill. Problem was, walking/jogging made my knees and hips hurt, so I just gave up, and kept eating junk. A couple weeks I discovered Nerd Fitness and have been lurking ever since, but decided to post today. After reading Staci's story, I've decided that I want to get back into powerlifting. I remember feeling my healthiest and best when my name would go on the records board for heaviest bench or deadlift. So instead of trying to lose weight, I want to be strong and healthy. No more scales, no more calorie counting or "weight loss shakes." Just eating clean and lifting heavy. Quote Link to comment
