Hey All! Hobbit here, in need of a bit of help

Recommended Posts

Where to start?! To make a very, very long story short, I lost about 10 pounds and was in the best shape of my life 2 years ago... but I got there through disordered eating habits, after several years of hating myself and feeling as though my weight was the only thing I could control as well as a desperate urge to be strong.  Nerd Fitness really resonates with me because I made the decision at around that time as well to make myself into the person I want to be, and I began by making a list of things I was afraid I couldn't do and methodically going through them.  I chose to care about who I am over what others thought, and I am proud of accomplishing that.  I changed my life totally, and at one point lapsed back into disordered eating out of anxiety, and since then have been struggling with figuring out how to lose weight without reinforcing old bad habits.

Now, I'm fighting hard to make sure my motivation is for the sake of bettering myself, to overcome my sugar addiction and habit of comfort eating, and to get back to pushing myself for the sake of doing so each and every day! I want to be the best HobbitingAlong that I can be.  It's been hard sometimes to get into awesome shape, lose weight, and nourish myself without that pesky self-hatred to keep me motivated ;) Figured that it was time to acknowledge a little bit of help is nothing to be ashamed of, and if I can offer others support too, all the better!

I am definitely hands down 100% a hobbit, and I live like a hobbit: hard work, feet moving, positive attitude, and since time is going to keep going, better make it moving forward, doing my absolute best, and enjoy it!
