Just got home from the wedding and wanted to gush about the Bride, Dana, covering my costs while I was there. I paid for my plane ticket, but she and Cam covered everything else, which was so deeply appreciated. I tried to be a cheap date, which was good I think. So I have the $50 I cashed in of my tip money from work that I took for the wedding to put towards something else. Might throw it against my credit card as I bought boots before I left...

This is excellent, and so supportive!

 

I, on the other hand, burned through some cash on the last day in New York, getting food delivered and letting myself spend extra ordering a salad and dessert. Then I took an Uber to the Amtrak station Sunday morning so that I didn't have to lug the suitcase and backpack for several blocks and up and down stairs (worth it). All told, food and transportation, and food-on-the-train expenses etc were another $150 ish by the time I got home.

 

I am glad to be home. 

Yesterday i had no appetite, and when I finally got hungry I put on a pot of black lentils and poured a glass of milk and it was the best dinner ever.

ButcherBox billing is coming up next week, and it's needed, as the freezer is nearly empty.

Also this week is the "no paycheck" paycheck, which will hurt, but won't break me.

All will be well.
