Just so I'm clear on stuff on the challenges-

 

1) I need to keep track of litres of water each week.

2) If I try any new recipes, how is that scored? Do we post here when we complete something?

3) Tracking km walked/biked. Any specific way to track this? Apps, pedometer, etc?

4) Strength... Is it how many times we get through that routine? (Also what's a flutter kick?) How do variations work and how do we keep score?

5) Stretches- I got kinda lost in the reply kerfuffle... are we counting minutes used to stretch? Following a specific stretching routine?

No worries. This week is tracking water (as well as unsweetened coffee and tea only.) I think we keep the scores private for this one and see how this goes?

And the rest of the challenges are for the next weeks... :)

Each match/mini/challenge is one of the remaining weeks of this challenge. If you have questions ask. This is the first go around of doing minis/challenges/matches so there are bound to be questions on how we are doing things!

 

1) I need to keep track of litres of water each week.This week's focus is water consumption to make sure that everyone is being properly hydrated tacked in liters.

 

2) If I try any new recipes, how is that scored? Do we post here when we complete something? I'm going with whenever you try something new is worth points (i'll be posting pictures/recipes)

 

3) Tracking km walked/biked. Any specific way to track this? Apps, pedometer, etc? I use a fitbit, but you can use your phone, or really any other method to map your mileage

 

4) Strength... Is it how many times we get through that routine? (Also what's a flutter kick?) How do variations work and how do we keep score? The workout is a circuit which hits the whole body and someone was nice enough to add links to show how to do the movements. Variations are due to everyone not being at the same fitness level so each exercise can be scaled to be harder or easier (with the exception of flutter kicks and BW squats you can increase the difficulty of these, but there really isn't a decreasing variation with these two exercises) depending on your fitness level. There is no time limit we are just counting completed sets. Each time you compete the whole circuit is worth points. flutter kicks skip to 30 seconds for demo. 

 

flutter kick: Starting position is lying flat on the back with the feet and head approximately 6 inches (15 cm) off the ground. Hands are under the buttocks to support the lower back. Count one: raise the left leg to a 45-degree angle, keeping the right leg stationary. Count two: raise the right leg off the ground to a 45-degree angle while, at the same time, moving the left leg to the starting position. (can be counted as one rep here or continue to a 4 count) Counts three and four are repetitions of the same movements. Legs must be locked, with toes pointing away from the body

 

5) Stretches- I got kinda lost in the reply kerfuffle... are we counting minutes used to stretch? Following a specific stretching routine? From my understanding it is minutes used that are focused on stretching and mobility work. can be the 5-10 minutes after every workout to an hour long yoga workout.

This was a super orderly discussion, no reply kerfuffle... :D It wasn't decided yet I think - the tendency was to count minutes of everything that's done to stretch/increase mobility. No specific routine so the not so flexible among us (me) aren't all sad during that week.

Also that reply was awesome. You covered lots of stuff I missed as well.
