Super pleased with this week's results.  I went off the rails a bit due to life and coming down with a head cold.  Despite the rough patch the scale seemed to give me a break for once.  Things are getting very busy though and I'm sure this break won't last.  I need to stick to the plan.  No time for fitness this coming week with lots of house prep tasks to accomplish.  Luckily some of those tasks involve moving boxes to the storage unit so that should count for something.  We also have a dinner out and then a lot of driving over the weekend as I go up to help Peach move back home.

Yeah, that's about what I expected.  Actually, that's less of an increase than I was afraid it would be, so, yay?  I guess?  It was a week.  I am, in fact, being laid off.  And, as a result of that, fully knowing what I was doing, I did some stress eating.  And then promptly paid the price for it...3 donuts right before roller derby practice is not a great idea. 😅 And then Friday I drove out to Niagara Falls, where I spent the night before driving to Canada on Saturday morning to coach a couple roller derby games promptly followed by the 4 hour drive home.  Ate lots of junk food during that as well, because it was pretty much the only option.  I currently have lots of motivation to get back on top of eating healthy, but we'll see if I can follow through with it.  I have a lot going on right now...🥴

Sorry to hear that!  I hope you are able get some of those habits under control but I encourage you to allow some grace as well.  This is such a stressful time!  I hope you have lots of support and some sort of package from your employer to help you through to the next!

I wrote off the rest of April in terms of fitness stuff and decided to just eat my way through the week.  Lots of ice cream packed on the surplus and I don't regret it nearly as much as you might think.  I also feel ready to shift course and get back on my program, so the week ahead should be a good one (weather permitting).

Although things aren't moving as quickly as I'd like, this week's been good with 1lb of weight loss, and the trend continues to go in the right direction. I was 666 kcal over target last week, which is faintly pleasing.

This week I'm travelling for work. Food will probably be a bit all over the place, but I'll just try to make good choices where I can.

This is going in the the right direction again! Yay! It's really hot here lately, and it's been good for going outside and getting lots of yard work done. It's going to be an active summer. I'm a little nervous about it. I'm going to be really changing the way I approach life for a while, which is always a little uncomfortable, but my goal is to be in a better headspace by the end of summer and have some healthy habits in place. And some fun art! :D  That'll be super duper. I'm done weighing in now, but I'll be here for another two weeks to cheer everyone on and just kinda mentally prepare for not being online so much :D

Weighing in today instead of Monday. I am maintaining, which is good news considering that I am eating like a goblin this past week. Not a lot of wheat which is good, but not a lot of real meals either, mostly snacky foods (cheese, meat sticks, cucumbers, figs, raspberries, and snap peas). It hasn’t been awful but I am still not doing well at eating more than once a day, so not having a decent meal in the evenings probably isn’t furthering my goals. Maintenance is a win though, and I will absolutely take it. :)

still eating 1450kcal. I figure its good to have a break from the deep cutting as its hard to maintain. Maths says this should be vaguely 1lb a week loss though, so i have no clue.  Possibly the maths gets a bit squiffy when you throw in the CFS and the meds

Given the food shenanigans last Sunday, I should be glad it's down.

But given the four good days (including 3 days with a 1000+ calorie deficit!!!) immediately after, it's still a bit disappointing...

These last 2 weeks I've weighed in at 150.3 and 150.1 - seems I'm hovering in this range. Having a few non-scale victories including using a smaller loop on the belt for the past 2 days and minimizing bloat daily, including during travel.

Working with my Coach I'm going through some adjustment - I've only just completed my second week with her and this week included travel which always adds a bit of extra challenge. This weekend was also a challenge as I went a little off plan and went over macros both days.

I've got lunch and dinner planned, prepped, and pre-logged (at least for today) for this week. I have one more snack to plan for today and hopefully I'll be right back on my macro goal. Each morning, I'll pre-plan my day based on those lunches/dinners and the breakfast I'm craving (I purchased Kodiak Protein Pancake/Waffle Mix). We switched up our workouts last week to push/pull/legs which gives me at least 1 day of "extra". Last week I skipped Thursday (got home late Wednesday night and didn't get to sleep until almost midnight) so I did a second day of legs, more glute focused including deadlifts, squats, hip thrusts - the things I don't get the chance to due during our standard Monday leg day. Will likely do something similar this week.

You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better than you were before. Do that every day and you will succeed.

Feeling good about this number after coming back from a week-long company retreat where they fed us excessively. This is more or less my lowest recorded weight this year, so it feels like a good place to kick off the next challenge!

Pretty solid week (mostly) and the bounce-back is on.  That number is actually an interpolation since Friday's was a pound lower and Sunday's was a pound higher.  This weekend got away from me a bit, but I'm ready to reel it back in and push that scale number down even further.

I've been working on strength lately, and it's definitely helping to improve my appearance even when my overall body weight isn't exactly cooperating with the plan.

0.4lbs down isn't loads, but given that I had at least a couple of days over 4,000 calories it's not a bad result. That's an estimate too - I stopped tracking for 2 days of my work trip when it just became too complicated to keep it up.

5 weeks until the end of this challenge, and after that I'm going into maintenance regardless of what weight I am, which is actually really motivating me to tighten up my eating for the remainder of the time.

Also, in the 6 weeks to last week I lost 3.5lbs, and had been averaging about 19,500kcal per week. That strongly implies that if I can hit my goal of 18,000kcal per week I can comfortably see a 1lb per week weight loss.

Had to weigh in Tuesday since I was on the road Monday.  Smashed my goals first half of the week but had little scale progress.  Then had the busy travel weekend with most food being road or convenience food.  I've already lost some of the bloat by this morning's weigh in so I'm not at all concerned.   Hoping to make up with it on next week's weigh in but of course, like every week, there will be some obstacles.   Tonight is a game so we'll be eating concession food, graduation dinner on Saturday, and then since Sunday is mother's Day we are going to a local hippie/craft fair and there will be fresh apple cider donuts (the best!) and food trucks.  Actually, Monday's weigh in is not expected to be that good.  Maybe I'll make up for it the week after.  😛

Well, there was a bunch of food shenanigans last weekend. Ate like a gremlin after midnight on occasion, overindulged on crisps on Friday, had fries on Saturday, went to a restaurant that had an "all you can eat" appetiser and dessert buffet on Sunday.

And while I normally do very well during the work week, the kids were on 3-day school trips from Monday to Wednesday, so we took the opportunity to dine out on Tuesday. And then we celebrated the kids' homecoming with pizza on Wednesday. And yesterday was a holiday, so no intermittent fasting, some appetisers in the evening, and two (!) plates of the "mashed potatoes - leek - minced meat" oven dish the missus had prepared.

That means that this morning's weigh-in was going to be a disast..... huh?

A bit of a drop for the past few weigh ins that makes me think it’s not just a water fluke this time. Hopefully. *lol* I am not eating very well lately, lots of days with just one goblin meal dinner. Trying to at least eat some cucumbers with my cheese and pepperoni sticks. Last night I made a smoothie with protein powder in it as a nod to my macros, but there is no way I am getting anywhere near my goals lately. I am wondering about starting to track again because I find I eat more when I am tracking, but I am honestly loving not tracking right now and being more intuitive with my eating.

The weather is warming up finally, so my meat/cheese/veggie platters are going to become more of a staple food. I definitely eat more grab-and-go plates like that once having food cold out of the fridge is appealing in the nice weather than when it is chilly out and I just haven’t wanted to cook. I love cooking, but I don’t like doing it after work. I think that is because the last hour and a half of my job is generally the busiest, so I want that break when I get home. I really need to figure out solutions for this though. Batch cooking makes the most sense.

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

A happy little drop! I've been very very consistent with my adjusted macros this week and it paid of with a nice little drop. I've maintained a NSV in the form of one smaller belt loop all week which was delightful. Coach isn't changing macros, just upping my fiber intake so I have another added challenge to this macro tracking thing. This is okay, my Coach is very happy with my progress so far and how well I've been doing with staying consistent with those macros so I'm ready to add another layer.

This week I've meal prepped lunch for 5 days and dinner for 4 (no mental capacity to calculate one more and double it) so we'll tentatively have our Fish Friday with the abundance of various fish we have in the freezer.

Gym schedule is going well so we're maintaining that. The Man is at the shoulder surgeon - he has a partial tear that he's getting looked at for. This may impact his ability to go to the gym so we'll see if I have to fly solo for a few days this week. I think they're just doing injections and physical therapy but the surgeon may limit his gym sessions to allow it time to heal. The only thing I don't feel comfortable doing on my own is the barbell bench press and chest is on Wednesday so I've got time to figure things out. I've done dumbbell bench at hotels on chest day, though, so I can make things work.

You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better than you were before. Do that every day and you will succeed.

A little bit of a recovery from the week before but this week has had its own challenges keeping me a little stuck.  And it's food truck season again.  Had dinner out at a game Wednesday and had a BBQ pulled pork sammich and fries from a food truck.  Mother's day was spent a festival with shops and food trucks so lunch was from a food truck again (Irish Nachos and ice cream but shared both).  The weekend was overall very busy with graduation for DDGs youngest so we had to pull together meals at odd times and attended a number of dinners and luncheons.   All in all, I'm pleased with the small loss.  Hoping to make up for it this week.  It's the final week before Hawaii trip so I was hoping to drop as much as possible.  It'll be a busy week but batch cooking is sorted.
