Friday I built the machine (after a legs and back follow up since I missed the second half of it on Thursday). It is amazing. I played on it as much as possible this weekend. It is my first SSD so being able to hit the power button and get going before a minute has passed is incredible. D&L loads in 1/4 of the time. No more long loading screens in FF. Saturday I went out with my best friend for her birthday and we sang karaoke and pretended it was 1997. (To be fair, *I* sang karaoke, no one else did in our group.) It was stormy, the power went out once (this is where we pretended it was hot tub dive bar and the lightning strike sent us back in time). Sunday, I did OHP and shoulders. I program sets of bench on OHP day but a lady was on the good bench ... she got there on my second to last OHP set and was still there when I finished shoulders. I tried to use the old bench I used for wide grip but something has happened and I cannot use that bench anymore. Maybe if I used wide grip. I should have either used wide grip or asked to work in, but my shy introversion took over and I just skipped it. Then we cleaned and went to Cidercade, which is exactly what it sounds like and amazing. Cut is going okay. OHP felt heavy, but managed 2 reps at my top set of 57.5, and got a new 7 rep max. I know it didn't work for close/medium grip, so I just go back to my old wide grip. Worked fine. So, that bench is fine, as long as I don't want to train any other grip. But it was the only other one with safeties, and the girls were a pair, so I figure they can spot each other, but I have heavy work and AMRAPs to do. Meanwhile they end up working up to 135 lb bench, which I am envious of (but each girl probably does weight AT LEAST 10 lbs more than I do, if not 20, most of it lean, so it's not weird, just ... I wish I were 16 and lifting over my bw ) Also meanwhile, I hear the trainer quoting Ave Q "everyone's a little racist" at the Asian guy I see there a lot. Yeah ok that's not in bad taste, whatever. I hope they are good friends and there's a background there to make that less disgusting???? Anyway, got me a new 7 rep max on bench (85.5 lbs), but jokers did not go over 99 today, which I did a single of, and MAY have had a 2nd in the tank, but I was feeling a little tightly wound and didn't think so enough to grind another rep out. The rest today is all just bodybuilding accessories, and I'm either going to try to get more steps at the rec center and use their dumbbells, or go home and do it. YES. YES I AM. :3 Anyway, sorry for lack of updates. On the fat loss front I've actually lost 3 lbs (some of this is the bloats) and my jeans feel looser. I have not yet measured. So I'm feeling more successful there. Protein's been hit or miss, but I'm doing better this week at it than last. Still lifting. I skipped today though because of a torrential downpour and lack of sleep, plus I'm working from home tomorrow, so Friday is an overall more sensible day to get lifts in before the trip which begins tomorrow afternoon~ Lack of updates is in due in most part to Dealing With Stuff, family + other It has just left me with too little energy for logging much or talking about things, but I'm still DOING the things. I haven't cooked this week due to not wanting to throw out leftovers pre-trip, but I'm having protein oatmeal, veggie salads (today was spinach and bacon and egg), Cowboy Chicken and veggie turkey rollups. (Turkey slices with guac and spinach) Speaking of Cowboy Chicken, my cat generally hates people food. She will sniff at it and meow, but if you offer her something she turns her nose up. SHE STOLE A CHICKEN BONE. I had to chase her to get it back afraid she'd choke (she's not smart). Gave her a scrap of the chicken instead. Instant hit. I have cooked chicken for this rascal before with no luck, so Cowboy Chicken is clearly magic. 2 Quote Link to comment

Dealing has involved some epic sadness, so I finally know what it takes for me to be like "no. no gym. going to just lay here instead" (The answer is a whole lot) Do not worry, no one has died. A relationship (sister) has changed drastically, and it is not-happy place. I will be back at it Next Monday and I hope to have time to post a few pictures at resting points Quote Link to comment

The first was in this super podunk tiny town in Wyoming called Meeteetse (hehehehhehehehehhehehe), and besides a couple of cowboy bars and this chocolatier, there is nothing else there and the Conoco station is the grocery store. But let me tell you HOLY cow batman So, we were late and we arrived right at closing, but luckily she hadn't closed up shop yet and wasn't too annoyed with our presence (I was ready to zoom right back out the door if it looked at all like we were bad news to her, being in there at closing). The place was fresh out of every chocolate but one flavor, the name of which i didn't get, but it was a sweet dark chocolate with marshmallows and coconut. AMA-ZI-NG Top 3 best chocolate I've had in my life One of the ingredients is probably virgin tears or something The second place was in Jerome, and they sold by the pound of course. I got 4 "quarters" in orange dream, salted caramel, rocky road, and jalapeno All very good, very very good. And I say this with meaning: STILL not as amazing as Meeteetse, by far. Even as good as it was. Anyway. It's all gone now. All just a memory of sugar and cacao. Chocolate rambling brought to you by dayquil delirium Today I woke up with half a voice (well, no voice until I had some water) and a cough that physical hurts kind of significantly. So still no getting back on program. My body is still asking me for more respite, so I suppose I'll oblige. I'm working at home today to avoid coughing all over everyone. 2 Quote Link to comment

ixaera Posted August 30, 2017 Author Report Share Posted August 30, 2017 I took a remote day yesterday to avoid coughing on everyone, because I woke up with a chest/throat on fire and was having some coughing fits, and I took some Mucinex which appears to have gotten me back over that hump. I feel somewhat better today. Been keeping up on emergen-c's for those vitamins, too. Still full of mucus, but no longer feel like hot garbage. I slept probably 14 hours yesterday, with a break for Dark and Light. Quote Link to comment

Normal enough for DUN DUN DUNNNNN GYM TIME I'm real excited to get back to it. I'm starting a bodybuilding program currently for a change of pace and to see how I like it. If I don't like it, I have another strength program in mind for trying out :3 Taking it easy-ish and feeling out the workout today as it goes b/c of kicking illness. 2 Quote Link to comment
