redtomato501
Just finished City of the Fallen Sky by Joseph Evans (currently free on Amazon as a Kindle book, which can be read on your computer if you don't have a Kindle or the Kindle app), and enjoyed it enough that I'm thinking of buying the sequel... and I don't buy a lot of books! I really enjoyed it, was a fun and fast read. I guess my best description would be a cross between the Divergent and Harry Potter series, with some video gaming (ala Final Fantasy) involved. MariahSnow
No, I don't think it's as good as The Shining either, but then sequels often aren't. It's always nice to see where well-known characters end up though! What are you reading at the moment? I just read Watership Down after purchasing it randomly, drunkenly, because the used book store is right next to the bar. And then my cousins loaned me The Fault in Our Stars which was a fast read, but good. I'm not sure if it's as great as people are making it out to be, but it's definitely good. Now I'm reading All the Pretty Horses. I was on vacation which means lots of beach time and lots of book time Quote Amazon Warrior 29, F, 5'11 ft, 159lbs #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 Link to comment

Twilight
I just started Luminosity by Alicorn, a complete re-writing of Twilight described by its author as so: "The history and character of the Twilight world are intact in Luminosity up to the point where the story begins, with one exception: Bella's a rational self-awareness-junkie with a penchant for writing down everything that crosses her mind in a notebook. She maintains many of the traits and dispositions of canon - and Luminosity is a Bella/Edward story - but she's a distinctly different character." I heard it was good, so hey! It's really different so far, and I figure why not? Quote Link to comment
