Lara
I've been preparing a place to track my "10 minuts section", and wanted it to be a bit less serious. It ended up being too girly for my taste, but now it's done. I thought of just tearing out the page, but I wanted anxiety cat to stay, so cheesy tracking it is. Regarding my reward, there is no way I can get that sketchbook sent to me for a reasonable amount of money. It seems like it is some kind of import item and has special taxes. I'm thinking of a regular sketchbook now, but they are so boring... 4 Quote Link to comment

If they are boring because the cover is bleh, you can spruce them up! You can washi tape the crap out of it, chalk board paint the front, use acrylic paint and make your own design, you can do a collage and use mod podge on it. It will all take a little more time and effort but it's another creative outlet. I finally sat down and did my weekly layout for this upcoming week. My mom got me some watercolor pens and I wanted to try those out. 5/8 pictures posted 8 Quote GoodReads MyFitnessPal Spoiler Previous Challenges: 2020: 1.20 - 2019: 1.19 l 2.19 2018: 1.18 l 2.18 l 3.18 l 4.18 l 5.18 l 6.18 l 7.18 2017: 1.17 I 2.17 I 3.17 I 4.17 I 5.17 l 6.17 l 7.17 l 8.17 I 9.17 l 10.17 2016: 1.16 l 2.16 l DA v.1 l DA v.2 I DA v.2 Reloaded I DA v.3 I DA v.4 I 8.16 I 9.16 I DA v.5 I 11.16 2012: 1 2013: 2 l 3 l 4 l 5 l 6 l 7 l 8 2014: 9 l 10 l Not Done Yet l Time to Conquer l Conquering HFC for Life! How does the paper respond (not being watercolor paper)? The colors looks pretty bright in the pictures! I love them! I have 2 different brands Pentel & Mudder. The Pentel are a little more flowy or fluid? The tips are not as hard as the Mudders which are more paintbrush. I'd say they are super easy to use, you just fill them with water and squeeze the handle when you need more water. There is no leakage and no reason to have a cup of water nearby. The journal holds up ok. When I use less water and more pigment the journal does much better with little to no rippling. On the sections where I use more water, you can tell that the paper struggles to hold up with it. You can see that on the Popsicle page on the bottom left corner (from the squeeze the day lemons on the previous page) and on the blue Popsicle you can see some of the pen. I also always have either another piece of paper, napkin or paper towel under the page I'm working on. 34 minutes ago, Taddea Zhaan said: How do watercolor markers work? I forget. What I'm using is a paintbrush with a hollow handle that you can put water. I love it though and they can be fairly cheap. 5 Quote GoodReads MyFitnessPal Spoiler Previous Challenges: 2020: 1.20 - 2019: 1.19 l 2.19 2018: 1.18 l 2.18 l 3.18 l 4.18 l 5.18 l 6.18 l 7.18 2017: 1.17 I 2.17 I 3.17 I 4.17 I 5.17 l 6.17 l 7.17 l 8.17 I 9.17 l 10.17 2016: 1.16 l 2.16 l DA v.1 l DA v.2 I DA v.2 Reloaded I DA v.3 I DA v.4 I 8.16 I 9.16 I DA v.5 I 11.16 2012: 1 2013: 2 l 3 l 4 l 5 l 6 l 7 l 8 2014: 9 l 10 l Not Done Yet l Time to Conquer l Conquering HFC for Life!
