Heidi Posted September 19 Report Share Posted September 19 Was having a hard time falling asleep last night, so I made tea and did five more squat holds while the kettle warmed. 15 total for yesterday. Heidi wanders through the moonlit glen, finding new varieties of flowers that hadn't been as visible in the day, adding five more to her pack, then sets the dagger in its sheath and closes up the bundle. Jarric Posted September 19 Report Share Posted September 19 It's a slow start, but Guglug grins a toothy grin as parts of the map start coming together. Satisfied that he's finished in one area, he moves to the next, carefully cross referencing his translations, and Niko's, with the terrain features of the map. I didn't see this in time to start working on it on Monday, but got mini painting done Tuesday and Wednesday, so 2 hexes down. Even in the dim light, she is able to harvest 20 plants before the moon sets and she has to stop to admire the stars covering the entire sky. Heidi Posted September 20 Report Share Posted September 20 I think the minis are wonderful! Way to go @Jarric and @Sovalis! I love the serendipitous use of light blue -- it almost seems as though the dragon and the wizard might be teammates in a party and not opponents (a low-level Philosopher-Librarian can dream). I am definitely looking forward to when my greying hair goes ocmpletely white and resembles the wizard's gorgeous mane. Also love that our Wizard is traipsing through the grasses, as we herb-gatherers are. I felt like garbage starting yesterday afternoon, and slept, and still felt wonky this morning, so no gym. But I did five squat holds while unloading and loading the dishwasher this morning while I was trying to get my head on straight for the day's necessary tasks, and this is good. Back to the gym today, though, so will make sure to slip at least one set in. Shava paused, stretching her back after hunching over the mystery parcels. Was this really accomplishing anything? Perhaps she could slice one open and finally get a good look at whatever was inside. She saw Radost scouting ahead, creeping low on the ground, and Ursina continuing to hold back the wave of spiders. Radost Posted September 20 Report Share Posted September 20 Radost steps towards a bundle, as though to examine it, but it ripples suddenly and she recoils. “I’ll just…I’ll…you can…” Her face compresses with distaste as she edges past the now quiescent bundle and looks deeper into the forest. “Wait, is there something over there?” She begins to clamber between the thick web strands, attempting to ease past the big spider. One of the smaller spiders skitters a little too close and she feints at it. The spider shies away and back up into the trees and Radost ducks carefully under another sticky cord. Did a couple rounds of 20 mountain climbers yesterday evening and plan to do the same today. I also tried out the katana exercises but I’m putting my official action into exploration this week. ETA: did some climbers! Could only manage sets of 10 today but after a long workday I’m calling that Just Fine. ETA2: oh, I almost doubled my average step count due to walking along with some students for our Terry Fox Run today. No wonder I’m wiped. It’s only a modest amount more than most long workdays (which include a 2km walk and 100% increase in bike time) but still. 4 Quote Link to comment

DarK_RaideR Posted September 21 Report Share Posted September 21 At first, the warrior struggled with all the herb gathering. It's not exactly his thing and what's worse, he could bear the hiking but not the squatting and bending in his armor. After a while though, he seems to have a mental switch. Almost as if rehearsing combat scenarios and maneuvers in his head, he begins to move around with much more grace, his moves seeming to flow from one another as he picks up the herbs and tosses them into his pouch. So I had a few super busy days and fell behind. Caught up today doing three sets of 10s. Then while I was at it, now that finally the weather seems to have cooled down a bit, carried on to do a full on workout circuit like I used to do before the summer 3 month long heatwave. 5 1 Quote Lvl 65 Multitasker Link to comment
