Yes, much more like a pullover. I actually think I'll do some pullovers in today's workout to get a better feel for what the muscle activation should feel like in lat prayers, because at the moment I think I'm too preoccupied with not hitting myself with the cable to really connect with my lats.

Wednesday Report!

So, I don't think I mentioned it yesterday, but there was a bat in my bedroom Tuesday night, so sleep was somewhat disrupted. Failed to chase him down, so it's lurking somewhere, but no sign of it last night. But it left me very tired, and the the Zombie made its Word of Radiance save despite having disadvantage, grrr. I managed to do okay for most of the day - made it to the noon Eucharist, though I will admit I struggled to stay focused through the whole thing - but by the end of work, I was incredibly tired. Had already committed to going over to my neighbor's though, so over I went. Helped her renter with his trig homework again. She was available to sit down with it as well - did I mention she's a retired math teacher? They've changed the nomenclature and whatnot enough since she retired that she was having trouble figuring out what he was supposed to do - I knew what he was supposed to do, but I was having trouble remembering how to do it. Between the two of us, we worked it out. And I got a really tasty piece of pumpkin pie - with real pumpkin, not the canned stuff (no shade, the canned stuff makes a damn good pie and is what I use myself) - as a bonus. So that's Bless points, and I'm considering giving myself social points for it as well, because if 3 people spanning 4 generations sitting around eating pie and laughing over trig homework isn't community, I don't know what is.

Went home, had dinner, and crashed pretty hard after poor quality sleep the night before. If the bat showed himself, I slept through it.

Changed my plans a little for today, decided to do my workout at lunch and then do classwork tonight because I forgot to get everything downloaded onto my tablet for it last night. Other than that, not much going on.

Do bats have rabies in PA? In MI, if you wake up with a bat in your room, the Dept of Health rec is to get rabies prophylaxis in case you were bitten in your sleep, unless you can catch the bat and get it in for testing. (ask me how I know)

The likelihood is super low but apparently the MDH doesn't mess around.

I think that is the official recommendation, but we've never worried about it. Bats are not exactly aggressive creatures and, as you said, the likelihood that I got bit in my sleep and didn't realize it is SUPER low. It's not unusual for us to have a bat in the house, though it's been several years since we've had one. Mostly I don't worry about it unless I know I actually had direct contact with it.

I concur with the others, that your super nonchalant 'Had to share my sleep routine with a bat' confession is crazy!  LOL.  I'd have been up all night or in a hotel.  And I too love bats, but, the risk of the what if would definitely outweigh my ideas on how cute it might be to have a sleepover.

Nice job on things.  And oooh pie!

Though I hate pumpkin pie.  On principle.   Since my b-day often falls on the Thanksgiving holiday and I get candles in my pie, instead of a bday cake.

Just sayin', if we started a commune I would definitely bake you a birthday cake.

Thursday Report!

Light points, Shape Water, did Morning Prayer but the Zombie saved again. Had a good workout. Did OHP with dumbbells because I could tell with the barbell lifts that my right shoulder was doing most of the work, and man was the difference stark once I switched to db. Chatted with the discord nerds a bit about change plates that work with rubber hexheads, and there are some possibilities out there. Change plates were already on the reward list for this challenge, but (after I smash this challenge like I did its predecessor!) I'm specifically going to look for 1.25lb plates that are either clip ons or magnetic so that I can use them with my barbell or the gym dumbbells. It does mean I'd have to take them back and forth from gym to home, but I think I can manage an extra 2.5lbs in my gym bag.

Speaking of the gym, accidentally locked my fob in my locker as I was leaving, so have to go back after work today so someone can let me back in to retrieve it. I felt like a doofus. But! The workout killed a Zombie and it failed its save, so it's dead-dead. That means I only have 3 Zombies left to kill before I can battle the Wight, which is good because those 700 points are going to play a huge role in determining if I pass this challenge or not.

Finished work, which has continued to go well through my first week. I think the big thing is that I was just so bored in my old job, doing something new is really engaging, even though the work itself isn't that exciting as of yet. I am super looking forward to the FPC coming back next week (still don't know for sure that she is, but I'm currently operating under that assumption) and finding out what my regular workload is actually going to look like. After work, I did chores, then my parents went out and I enjoyed having the house to myself. Had dinner, watched some YouTube, did some reading. Moved on to class reading and woof, that was rough. My professor warned us that this week's assignment was dry, and he wasn't kidding. It put me right to sleep, literally. 3 pages and I was out, didn't wake up until my parents got home.

No sign of the bat again, which is making me start to think he might have found his own way back out.

Today -

Got my Light point and Word of Radiance. Need to run errands at lunch, mainly hitting the bank up to withdraw cash for a deposit on the horse if I really like it, but I'll tick a couple other things off the list while I'm out and about. Do a quick stop at the gym on my way home to get my fob, then home. Probably hang out outside for a bit after work, haven't done much with my horse this week, then class reading tonight. Think I'm going to call the dry assignment a bust and do an alternate reading instead.

I hope you all have a Fantastic Friday!

It was selections from Joseph Butler's Analogy of Religion Natural and Revealed to the Constitution and Course of Religion. If the prof hadn't warned us, that title certainly would have given it away.

I think I forgot to report on this, but the electric company sent a guy out...Wednesday, I think? To run the line where he wants it, they have to take a tree down on our neighbor's property. So he's getting in touch with them to see if they'll green light that. Technically, they signed a right of way for us, so the electric company could do it without checking, but we told them not to do it if Jim says no. Other option is to run the line from our transformer, which would be more work for us, but I'm willing to do it for the trees. So for now, it's wait to hear back. Sometime next week I'll check in if it's been radio silence just to make sure he did actually follow up.

Friday Report!

A quiet day. I was tired, partly from being out of my normal sleeping routine (I've been camping in the living room due to the bat), partly from being in a new office. Did my errands at lunch, though not as much as I had planned because the bank took a little longer than I had figured. After work, retrieved my gym fob then went home. Didn't do a ton outside, but did wander around a bit to soak up some sun. Read, worked on a jigsaw puzzle, didn't really get far with my class reading. I'm a bit concerned with how much of a struggle it's been this semester, but I think the bigger problem is that I've basically gone back-to-back-to-back classes with very little time off in between since January. I'll get a couple of weeks off in between the end of fall semester and the beginning of spring, so hopefully that will be the reset I need.

Bat showed up again last night. Unfortunately, peace negotiations did not go well and it ended in a fatality. But I have my bedroom back, now, and am very much looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. It meant another night of disrupted sleep, which isn't ideal when I'm driving 2 hours away to look at a horse this afternoon, but so it goes.

Up this morning, chores done, breakfast eaten, some reading done. I'm typing this update in between sets for this morning's workout, then it's off to class for an hour. After that, scarf down a bite of lunch and off I go to see what will hopefully be my new horse. In case you haven't noticed, I'm pretty excited about this one. She's everything I wanted (or at least is advertised that way) for a price well within my budget. Proof, I'm sure @Heidi would say, that the Universe loves me and wants me to be happy.

I love all you guys and want you to be happy. Have a great Saturday, Friends.

RIP the bat, but kudos to you for making the effort.

I also applaud the neighborliness and tree-prioritization of your approach to the electricity.

Will you be able to bury the line?

That book looks bone dry. I hope you have a decent alternative text.
